Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FlintDB (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, signing in with your Google account, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you accept these Terms and have the legal capacity to enter into them. You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and if you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of the Service

FlintDB is a tool to browse, query, and edit Google Cloud Firestore data and to manage Firebase Authentication users in the projects you authorize via your own Google account. FlintDB connects to the Google Cloud / Firebase projects you choose, using credentials you provide or grant, and operates on the data within those projects on your behalf.

FlintDB is an independent third-party tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC or Firebase. "Firebase", "Google Cloud", and "Firestore" are trademarks of their respective owners.

3. Acceptable Use

You must only access projects, databases, and data that you are authorized to access.
You are solely responsible for your own credentials, access grants, and all actions taken under your account.
You must not use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
You must not attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent any access controls, authentication, or security measures — whether in the Service or in the underlying Google/Firebase infrastructure.
You must not abuse, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service's infrastructure, or use it to attack, scrape, or harm others.

4. Production Data Warning

FlintDB operates directly on your live/production databases. Edits, bulk operations, and deletes are real and may be irreversible. There is no separate sandbox between you and your data unless you create one.

You are solely responsible for any data changes you make through the Service. FlintDB provides safety guardrails (such as read-only mode and production confirmations) to help reduce mistakes, but these are aids only — the final responsibility for every read, write, and deletion is yours. Please use the Service responsibly and maintain your own backups.

5. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and credentials, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to safeguard your account.

6. Subscriptions, Billing & Cancellation

Where paid plans are offered and enabled, subscriptions are billed through our payment processor, Stripe. The following terms apply to paid plans:

Renewal: Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless cancelled beforehand.
Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Upon cancellation, your access continues until the end of the current paid period, after which it will not renew.
Refunds: Payments are non-refundable for partial periods, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
Taxes & changes: Prices may change with prior notice; applicable taxes may be added. Billing is handled and stored by Stripe under their terms.

This section applies only when paid billing is enabled for your account. If you use the Service under a free plan, no charges apply.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Either party may terminate the relationship as described here. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will continue to apply.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that it will meet your requirements, or that any data operation will produce a particular result.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, in no event will FlintDB, its operators, or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or data. In particular, we are not liable for data loss, corruption, or damage arising from operations you perform on your own databases through the Service. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law
